KV6113 Adding to DVR

HI All,

I've checked the how to guides, but unable to find what I'm looking for, so hoping I can get some quick guidance as I believe it may be something really silly I'm doing.

I've set up a DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) and DS-KH8350-WTE1, both connected via a POE Switch, as I'm using a DVR (iDS-7208HUHI-M1/X) with IP channels, now I would like

1. Enabled 24/7 recording onto DVR
2. Enable answering on my mobile hikconnect app
3. Enable motion detection alerting

I have managed to get the Indoor Station and Doorbell both working, if I ring, it shows on the indoor station, however I am having issues adding it to the DVR I've manually but its not connecting, I've used admin/12345 as the password when I tried adding the doorbell, which is default I believe.

Am I doing something wrong or is there another way this has to be done?

The NVR has an IP of 192.168.1.64
The Hik Doorbell has the IP off 192.0.0.65

Appreciate any advice :)

Thanks!

I don't know your NVR, its appears a new "M" series hybrid, lots of issues with adding doorbells to M series at the moment, I've had the same, there is a temp workaround to add them as a custom stream search on here as "RSTP" basically your stream would need to be as below, insert your user name, your password and your IP address of the camera into the string below, changing the capitals for yours

rstp://YOURUSERNAME:YOURPASSWORD@192.168.0.YOURCAMIPADDRESS:544/Streaming/channels/101

PS you cannot get motion alerts

I've used admin/12345 as the password when I tried adding the doorbell, which is default I believe.
There is no default, its the one you initialized it with.
Neither it could be 12345 for a long time due to security upgrades and password policy.

I do not own an -M series NVR or DVR but I have read the issues and work around solutions. I have one DS-KV6113WPE1(A) added normally on NXI-K NVR, and iVMS4200.
What I have noticed with this door station is that there is a problem to add this device only on one Hikvision application called HiToolsDelivery.
The above device is visible in Local Network Online List and same with all other devices, this can be added to Device List.

When all devices are added to Device List then there seems to be a problem with DS-KV6113. Seems like the program does not accept 80 as the HTTP port:

By editing the HTTP port to 8000, the device is normally detected as Online

I don't know if the issue is related with the issue you all face with new -M series firmwares
The indoor station has similar issue but this is automatically added with port 8000.

It's a DVR that I have (not a NVR) so not sure if this changes things or technically it'll function the same as we're adding it at a IP level. Where would I add it as a RSTP, as I do not remember seeing this option, will check again tomorrow.

The fact it'll be on a different subnet to the DVR is not an issue?

I did not have to set up a password for the doorbell as far as I can remember, I only set up one for the HIK Intercom Screen (Admin menu password and a SIP Registration password)

Yep I don't think my issue will be this, although I'll double check the port it shows in the DVR tomorrow

Then use that password when adding door station to DVR.

Hi All, sorry for the late reply been a bit busy, so made progress, Issue was that the doorbell was on a different subnet (192.0.0.X, default IP), while the DVR was on a 192.168.1.x, having changed the doorbell to this same subnet it got further but then the password wouldn't work, tried all the default ones i could find, luckily ended up using BatchConfig tool to add a password.

Now I see the Doorbell in the HIk App/DVR, it records and detects motion, however one final issue - when the ring is pressed it shows up on the indoor station but does pop up on my the Hik Connect App on my mobile.

I went into ME - Settings - Call Notififcations is set to 'Enabled', but Call Notification Setting has no devices under this?

Any thoughts?

Just an update all, it looks like reason it was not working was, I added it as a camera but I had to also add it as a device with in the Hik Connect app.

It's added and now rings, but have noticed a few things not sure if these are normal behaviour

1. Door bell and indoor display station keep ringing, even when call rejected on the mobile hik connect app.
2. Unable to see a snapshot/still of the person ringing on the iphone as the notification comes in?

Your issue 1 is normally down to the software on the units not being upto date, I’ve seen this and experience this before, make sure they are upto date and don’t just jump lots of software step if it’s many revisions old, you should do gradually and always read the PDF where they exist.

Issue 2, can you elaborate, I have some 6113s myself, once you answer it takes a second or so for the video to become live. I will add I use iPhone, don’t know what you use, but there used to be an issues if that decice had Face ID to open the app it caused problems with the intercom so I disabled it for the hikconnect aop, but I’m guessing the issue now and that’s probably not helpful.

Sorry I will add, have you added the screen or the 6113 outdoor unit to your hikconnect app? The screen should be added. I actually have both added, that might be an issue also.

As @fin says when you have a 6113 paired to an indoor unit it’s the indoor unit that’s added to Hik-Connect not the 6113 (whereas the 6113 is added to the NVR/DVR for recording)

For the second issue, that’s normal, or at least it’s how it works with mine (it may be affected by iOS notification settings. By default the iOS setting is to show previews in notifications while unlocked. I’m not sure whether switching it to ‘always’ would make any difference. What you can adjust in Hik-Connect is the auto answer setting. With it switched ON, as soon you click the notification 2 way talk is on. With it switched OFF, clicking the incoming call brings up the camera with the option to talk or hang up. That’s in Me > Settings > Notification Settings > Auto Answer

Okay, so I've upgraded the 8350 indoor station firmware to 2.2.96 and left the 6113 outdoor staiton at 2.2.77, as I read some forums here which said best to leave and not upgrade 1 version. As for phone model, mines is a Iphone and do not have face ID

So I had both added :O, did not know this - I have now removed the 6113 outdoor station and left the screen

Interesting as I read some forums here which suggest notifcation preview does work, unless I've misread, will do so again and post the link here for once over by you guys. Also to note, even when unlocked and a call comes in, it does not show a preview. Currnetly i prefer that it does not auto answer, abit like the Ring doorbell.

I will now do some new tests and make note of what happens in a number of scenarios and relay this across to you guys to verify if it is expected behaviour

Although I noticed that since the upgrade there is an issue with connecting to the outdoor station on the indoor tablet, I have tried to get to config via the indoor station and trying to log into it via the direct ip, but it keeps saying password has been input 6 times and is now locked, which is odd.. I waited 30 minutes but then any password i put it locks it.

When I tried to QR forgotten password, it emailed me a verication code, it prompts for a new password, when i click next it says "Parameter error.Device will be locked after 4 attempt(s).Jump to login interface after 1s. "- Any thoughts, as there is no way for me to factory reset it either from what I can see.

The BatchConfig tool works but it doesn't let me change the password keeps saying timed out, the SADP tool i can't seem to get it to work or pick up any devices - (I am on a MAC OSX)

All sorted! ignore this - typo on my side!

Back to doing the tests suggested

THis forum had a bit about the image innotification, although its mentioning NVRs, not sure if the DVR still would work, also there is a post inthere states

"You won't get any snapshots on HikConnect if you are adding the outdoor station, just a notification with a bell symbol. You need to add the indoor station to HikConnect to view snapshots as these are pulled from the monitors internal storage." - suggesting i need to insert a microsd card?

Not needed. I only have the outdoor station now and the snapshot of the caller is available in Hik-Connect. That’s a still shot only, the video if needed is available on my NVR.

Ok, so i've left it and now that I've removed the outdoor station from my mobile hikconnect app - see attachment, I rang the outdoor station and it showed on my phone as follows and the indoor station, only when I 'slide to answer' on my mobile it open the view with a video and accept or reject - Any thoughts what I'm missing for it to still now show a still on the first notification?

Also I had started some tests with calling and rejecting and getting one or two odd outcomes, will update you on this also.

Please check when the doorbell is added to app, at notifications in the app. It needs to say, enable. Enter the setting and check if it is enabled and that it states receive and push event. Also check in the same screen if certain notifications are not blocked. I had this earlier and then nothing happened. The blocked event will pop up in the screen with receive and push.

I have the doorbell connected to nvr as well. So doorbell notifies with single photo and nvr with the corresponding video.

Also check on intelligent notifications and that you have set the area of which you would like to check.

When someone leaves the door or enters the door the notifications will pop up. If someone rang the doorbell, the same screen pops up, and when answer the call you will see live view within the app.
