Thanks for the quick response. I do have the cams on H.265+ and have just confirmed that the smart features do return on all cams when set to H264. Luckily I want H265+ more than I need the baggage and object features. Again thank you for your help.

Thanks for checking. So it looks like yours behaves the same on a K series. I don't think it is because it's a K series as the search works fine on the k series NVR itself as you would expect. It only behaves like this on the IVMS-4200 software app. But who knows the interface between the app...

When I search with the boxes on the app it still returns results but not just in the area selected. For example if the scene is of a path that comes on screen at the bottom left and at the center of the screen splits it to two paths. one path heads straight up and the second across to the right...

On your Configuration page/ Network / platform access page of your NVR does it say online? as this is where you would setup your NVR for remote access using hik-connect. That way you don't need all the port forwarding or DDNS.

Just a quick suggestion. From the error at the bottom of your screen grab it looks like your NVR is not online. Check in "device management" settings and make sure the ip address, port, subnet mask and gateway are compatible ranges with your new router.

I use IVMS-4200 v2.8.1.4 on my laptop and it works fine except one thing. On “Remote Playback” the option just above the time line “VCA Playback”. I hoped it would be like a smart search on the NVR. So that if I selected motion detection, then selected an area with the red boxes it would return...

Phil have you come across this motion issue yet? I have noticed that the latest G1 camera firmware has not been tested with the latest K Series: V3.4.93 firmware. I believe the G1 camera firmware V5.5.51 shows it was tested with the K Series NVR firmware V3.4.93 that is over a year old.

Sorry for the late reply mate. just go to the download page for G1 cams and select the V5.5.4 and upgrade (or down grade in this case) your usual way.

I updated to the latest NVR firmware V3.4.98 and camera firmware V5.5.51 and had the same problem of having constant motion triggers even with the sensitivity turned right down. This made it so useless for checking whats happened during the night and I had to roll back to camera firmware V5.5.4...
