Hik-vision gone offline

Ok so these are photo's of the setup as best I can take them. Most of the equipment, plugs, wires are in the attic. It's a load of wires up there.
The wires come down to a utility room where the NVR and TV screen is.

The back of the NVR has 4 ethernet ports and there are connections in 3.
There is one internet port and that is connected to the TP link in the attic that also only has one port. It is this TP link port that I connected the laptop to check if there was a signal in that TP link.

I hope that all looks like something you recognise.
That box in the loft is your TV aerial amplifier/distribution and has nothing to do with the CCTV.
 
If that's the case everything goes into the back of the NVR in the utility room

Yes it looks as though your IP cameras are connected directly to the NVR PoE ports. As said the box with all the coax connections is TV distribution. I can see that the TP Link looks to be working with all three LEDs on. I'm not sure what the passive PoE injector is being used for (the 'Engenious' bit with two network connections).
 
In order to prove there is a connection through the TP Links (or however it is connected...are you 100% that the TP links are for the CCTV and not something else?)

Pull the single LAN connection from the back of the NVR and connect that to a laptop. Ensure you've an internet connection by going to Speedtest.net and post the result. Using that connection will prove there's a valid connection end to end.
 
Just plugged in laptop as directed and yes there is a connection in the ethernet

On the Network Settings can you click the 'NAT' tab at the top and ensure that it is switched OFF. If it is on, switch it to off and save.
 
I cannot reboot WiFi at the moment we kids online school. I rebooted the NVR and no change
 
What is critical to know (and I cannot see anywhere through the last 50 posts) is how your NVR was added to the Hik-Connect app for viewing.

1 - If you have a Hik-Connect account with the device registered to that account you just log in to the same account in the app on your phone to view it. The Hik-Connect service manages everything

2 - If the device has been added manually using its IP address, port, username and password, then that works differently and does not use the Hik-Connect service at all. If that's the case it will always show 'offline' because the service is not in use. Setting the NVR up that way requires port forwarding in the router or UPnP on the NVR. Unless a Dynamic DNS service or a static IP address was available for the router connection would be lost as soon as the IP for your router changed (can happen daily with some providers)

Hopefully it's option 1 (but I'm beginning to think it's 2 and everyone has been barking up the wrong tree as to the root cause of the issue)

These problems can be a nightmare to try and resolve in the forum like this. As an installer if I was on site, option 1 above can be sorted before the kettle is boiled whereas with option 2 I might have nearly finished my cuppa.
 
It has come back online. I changed the DNS TO 8.8.8.8 and suddenly it went online. However now twice the NVR has re-booted ??

Disabling UPnP is what will have sorted it. The NVR will have been trying to map ports that may have been use. If it does reboot again, reboot the router when you can as that will clear out any previous sessions.

Looks like it's for one of the cams. Why I'm not sure. Maybe the cable wasn't long enough and that's what they used as a solution.
 
I think also unticking the UPnP was why it was fixed. It hasn’t rebooted since so fingers crossed it’s all good now.

I believe they mentioned it in their first post. "I logged into Hik-connect on my laptop and that also says offline."

My hik-vision connect is gone offline.

I can see the camera's from the TV which is hardwired to the camera's however I cannot see anything on the app, it just says devices offline.

It used to work, then we had a powercut weeks ago and since then its offline.
All the plugs have lights and the TP link has lights on. I plugged nothing out.

I logged into Hik-connect on my laptop and that also says offline.
