Hi
My hik-vision connect is gone offline.

I can see the camera's from the TV which is hardwired to the camera's however I cannot see anything on the app, it just says devices offline.

It used to work, then we had a powercut weeks ago and since then its offline.
All the plugs have lights and the TP link has lights on. I plugged nothing out.

I logged into Hik-connect on my laptop and that also says offline.

I have taken screenshots of what the TV is showing, the network settings

and the app if that helps ?

I think it's the IP address is the issue ?

Can anyone help please and thanks

Then, try changing your preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8

EDIT: You will need to uncheck "Enable obtain DNS serv..." before you can manually edit the DNS server to 8.8.8.8

OK, that doesn't always work...did the error code (that was 0x1007 on the Hik-connect setting page) change?

Also, probably better to remove the phone app device page above as it shows the NVR serial number, not a big deal, but better to not show it.

no you should be able to delete it... i was probably wrong to say click on it... the picture is like 1 character of text.... click just to the right of it you should see the cursor blinking there and then backspace it

remember you have to hit the edit button at the bottom of that post first

No there is no cursor or edit option

easier maybe to just delete this whole thread and start over .. hit the "..." at the top /right of the thread and delete thread... start a new thread and we'll go from there

That looks messed up. Someone has already changed the internal NIC IPv4 address to 192.168.1.11 from its default of 192.168.254.1. I'm surprised you've even got images on the monitor if the cameras are plugged into the NVR, but hey ho I wouldn't change it back now as you'll have worse troubles....

It's the 'Platform Access' page that shows Hik-Connect status etc. However if it's offline I'd suspect your TP Link devices aren't working properly (if they are powerline adaptors). I have a similar issue today on a site. If they are powerline adaptors and the system is offline try re-pairing them. You should see the top two of the three lights permanently illuminated on both (top is power on, middle is powerline network link, and bottom is data which will not be on permanently). If the middle light isn't on both they are not linked. Sometimes just switching them both off at the outlet and back on again will sort it and sometimes they need to be reset and re-paired.

You mention a power cut and it looks like you're on a farm? These things are susceptible to power spikes/surges.

Hi @lisak1972

We have removed the app screenshot from your original post.

We had to change the edit button so that it is deactivated a few minutes after a post is made because we were seeing an increase in spam users who were posting genuine-looking posts that got past our spam filters and then were editing the posts at a later date to insert dangerous links/content.

In the future, just tag me or one of the other admin users in the thread and point us to what you want edited so we can change it for you.

Thanks for that.
My setup is as follows:

There is a small black box in the attic that all the camera's are plugged into, this has a red and green power light.
That box is connected to another box that has the power, ethernet port and the TV screen attached. They all have power and lights on. I can see the 3 camera's on the TV screen.
The powerline adaptors are working. I have checked them and plugged in my laptop via ethernet and there is a connection. Lights are on.

My issues is the app, where I can check the cameras on the app from work, they say devices are offline and when I login to Hikvison that also says my device is offline.

I don't know about the IP addresses, not a clue when it comes to that.

I cannot restart the wifi today as daughter is on zoom calls for school.

But if the TP link it working and there is signal, that's not the issue ?
I think it's the addresses ?

That's why I am here asking for guidance. Thanks

As @JB1970 states, the internal NIC IPv4 address 192.168.1.11 is odd but if it was working before, we won't mess with that.

That sounds like a PoE switch.

That's the NVR, for sure.

I'm not familiar with powerline adapters... I can only assume that you are correct, and they are working.

In any case, it's the NVR that is trying to connect to the Hik-connect server that you are having trouble with... when you can, try re-booting the internet router and see if that clears things up... we'll go from there if that doesn't work.
