Hello
I had a new camera added to my domestic setup on Friday - a DS-2CD3T86G2-4IS connected directly to a POE NVR via a newly installed cat cable. It was visible on Hik Connect on my iPhone. Since yesterday however it shows as being offline on Hik Connect. I have another 5 cameras connected similarly and there are no problems with those. The new camera still shows up on the NVR's monitor and otherwise works as expected.I tried different ports on the NVR with the same offline outcome on Hik Connect. I then disconnected the new camera and put another in the same location using the same cable and it displays the same behaviour - shows up fine on the monitor but offline on Hik Connect. That suggested to me that the problem is with the cabling rather than the camera. I'm puzzled though as I imagined that Hik Connect communicated with the NVR rather than individual cameras. The Cat cable concerned is on a long run that I can't easily replace. Can anyone advise on this? Could it be a cable problem?
