Hi Phil, thanks for the suggestion but I have setup another ONVIF user and had done so previously but only set them to be a media user but have now upped it to an administrator level. I'm struggling to to get any url to work to access the stream from the NVR where most of the cameras are connected up to directly. I think if I can sort that then it should work. I have a DS-7732NI-I4 / 16P and the camlytics software doesn't have that listed so I have to find the correct URL to get the feed on and so far I haven't found it which is why I'm wondering if I need to upgrade it to the latest version for the ONVIF to be compatible with the 265 codec and then perhaps one of the standard HIKVision rtsp urls may work. Currently I have tried the following rtsp://192.168.1.98:554/Streaming/Channels/101 along with the one where I put in the username and password in the url but to no avail. I have tried changing the channel numbers too but again to no avail.

Probably best to contact Hikvision Tech Support and/or Camlytics for help with this one, I've never come across Camlytics before.

Today we have come across a newly created HikVision YouTube channel called 'HikVision Explains' (created 4 days ago), currently it only contains just two videos.
One of those is a kind of tutorial / walk-through on the new features delivered by this NVR firmware i.e. V4.1.50 (the topic of this pre-existing thread).
The video mentions some features that we have never seen discussed before, so we thought we'd add a link to it into this thread so that you can take a look for yourself:
Ha! How did I miss that they snuck in the ability to switch off stream encryption from the WebUI?! Still can't do it for the K-series of course because they're still stuck with v3.x firmware, but at least this is big progress for the I-series.

Well spotted @malford
You're the first to notice it.
We haven't tried it.

If anybody spots the Release Notes please share here.
Likewise, if you do try and have any feedback please.
(I am week off starting today, but will no doubt be seen here occasionally)

The repeated lack of release notes from the recent firmware updates is getting a bit ridiculous. That one has to get lucky and find a YouTube video from Hikvision Europe that may or may not document new features is bizarre.

Anyway, I don't remember seeing 'Human Body Capture' in the config prior to this new firmware. Not that I have any cameras that support it anyway, so I can't say what it does.

Hi
I have a DS-7716NI-I4/16 NVR vith firmware V 3.4.90 build 160926.
Was looking for an update of the firmware, but people don't seem happy about the new V4? Should I stay where I am. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it). Or are there other security issues that must be upgraded?

I'm using 2cd2155fwd-I and 2185fwd-IS cams

I don't think there are any security concerns with latest version of V3.
V3.4.98 is available here:

V4 offers different features.
Many end-users are happy with it.

You can try it, and revert if you prefer V3, but please see notes & precautions from our first thread on V4:
NB - V4 is quite different to earlier V3 versions of firmware, please check this thread before upgrading:
