How to improve playback

Good morning,

I would like to improve the playback from my cameras and while I've been trying to work it out myself, I think it's time to see if someone who knows what they're doing can help.

My NVR is a XRN-6410RB2.

I have some Hanwha cameras that were installed at the same time as the NVR.
I have some older cameras moved over from a previous system ( a mix of hik and other)

The problem I'm having is with playback it's only giving me images every two seconds. This is somewhat frustrating as the missed second is repeatedly causing issues with what's needing to be viewed.

I am assuming it's a processing issue with the amount of data on the screen so I have been into some camera settings and played at reducing the resolution and frame rate. This has worked with some with no real detrimental effect to what's being viewed but others it hasn't. I feel that having to reduce a 2592x1944 camera to 640x480 resolution shouldn't be the solution either else buying a better camera seems pointless in the first place.

Can I ask for some advice on what I should be changing please?

I've got a snip of the 'Record set-up' page of the NVR. I've noted that I'm close to my max bitrate. I have 57 cameras running currently though would like to get the full 64 slots full.

The red sections looked like an obvious item to try tackle. Altering the resolution seems to only bring the M number down marginally. Is the M short for megapixels in this instance?

This is the camera 21's video profile set-up. It's a Hanwha camera and I can't get it to 1 second playback despite trying to drop the resolution.

Should I be having dytnamic fps for when the area get's busy? What's GOV please?

Any advice as to what I should be trying to tweak is appreciated.

Many thanks.
