Hi all,

Looking to upgrade my existing Hik setup with these cameras.

I understand that this model has the ability to strobe the LED on trigger events, but is there an option to have the LED constantly on (for x amount secs) - ie not strobing/flashing? Almost like a PIR?

Thanks.

Hi @sh500

You can set the LED to be triggered by the event, but remain constantly on by adjusting the "Flashing Frequency" setting to "Normally On" in:

Basic Event > Flashing Alarm Light Output

The "Flashing Duration" setting refers to how long the LED remains on for once it's been triggered :)

NB - the frequency intervals / flash duration for the other options are:
High: 0.6 seconds
Medium: 1 second
Low: 1.5 seconds

Excellent. Thanks for the quick response @Kyle.

As many others, I am trying to decide between a narrowed down list of cams. For me it's either this or the 8mp Accusense ColorVu. It's just difficult to guage how bright the led is on the ColorVu, for specific environments.

No problem at all.

They're quite bright at their highest setting - I believe all the LED on all the ColorVu models have a 30m range, so bright enough to illuminate that distance.
You can adjust this brightness to suit your scene though.
