    5mp DS-2CD2352-I - available in the UK?

Unfortunately still the same answer I'm afraid - Hikvision have not made any indication to us that they plan to introduce the 5MP series to the UK market any time soon.

    Can't view Video on MacBook

As I understand it, the plugin required for viewing a Vivotek camera is not compatible with OS X. It's certainly not compatible with Chrome on either OS, so you'd have to ditch that idea I'm afraid.

Hikvision firmware update for DS-2CD2xx2 IP cameras

As above, your DS-2CD2342WD-I is part of the R6 series of 2x42 cameras. This thread and firmware is for the older R0 series of 2xx2 cameras (DS-2CD2332-I for example). You're trying to install firmware for a different series of cameras on your DS-2CD2342WD-I which is why it's not working...

How-to: How do I set up Hikvision ANPR?

The ANPR firmware is specialist firmware and is not publicly available - it's different than the standard firmware versions your camera will use. You need to contact your dealer and ask for the latest version of the ANPR specific firmware.

Hikvision Firmware Update for DS-76xx/77xx/96xx NI-I (-I series) NVRS

Not that I'm aware of, sorry. We can only really work with what Hikvision make publicly available on their download sites.

    Substream settings not saved

Thanks for the update Rick, glad to hear you got it resolved - no doubt very helpful to many others who might have had the same issue.

Good spot Pete, I'll get the resource section updated. Glad to hear it might have resolved the reboot issue - headaches all around.

    Viewing cctv via powerline adapters

Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to view the cameras on your TV via a web browser period, regardless of whether you use a powerline adaptor or not. Most smart TVs are not compatible with the web browser plugin required in order to view the stream. However, if you're able to connect a VGA or...

    View NVR via webpage

Glad to hear it seemingly resolved itself. Odd stuff! If you navigate to Configuration >> Local and tick "Auto Start Live View", then the live views of any connected camera will automatically play when logging in, which sounds like what you're after.

    sd card for hikvision

Hi Shane, No experience with the specific microSD card you mentioned I'm afraid, but I'd tend to favour a Sandisk microSD card when using Hikvision devices - they can be a little picky. Otherwise, you may want to investigate Hikvision's own DS-UTF64GI-H1 64GB microSD card if you want to...

    Accessing DVR settings over network

Yes, you can add your devices to iVMS 4200 using their HiDDNS domain name. Adding them to the DDNS service won't change how you've added them already in the past too. But otherwise yes, you're right, people will have to source their own DDNS services in the future such as No-IP or DynDNS...

    Accessing DVR settings over network

Domain name in the NVRs configuration? Simply enter a unique domain name (one that isn't in use on the service by anyone) and hit Save / Apply. Then add the DVR to your Hik-Online HiDDNS account using its serial number and domain name you just created.

MacOS How Do I Activate and View a Hikvision Camera on a Mac?

I'm not familiar with the -ER suffix, but the DS-2CD2732F-I doesn't have a motorized zoom lens and you wouldn't be able to remotely control it - it'd have to be adjusted manually at the camera. It's also not a PTZ model

    Accessing DVR settings over network

It is, correct, but any device registered before the discontinue date will still continue to function - you simply won't be able to register new devices. You could also use No-IP or DynDDNS as alternatives. At the moment, Hik-Connect doesn't give you enough configuration options I'm afraid, it's...

    Accessing DVR settings over network

Unfortunately, whilst iVMS 4500 and EZVIZ will allow you to view the cameras, to actually configure them remotely you'll need to use a web browser and either a HiDDNS account or simply a port forwarded IP address. The easiest method would be to create an account on Hik-Online and add your DVR...

    Accessing DVR settings over network

There are a few ways to enable remote access. Typically, you can use simple port forwarding, a DDNS account or Hikvision's Hik-Connect / EZVIZ Cloud P2P options. Each are covered in our Hikvision megathread, although this was made with NVRs in mind and not a DVR so it might not be the exact...

    Accessing DVR settings over network

If you enable remote access to your DVR, you can access it from any network as if you were on your LAN. Then you'd be able to configure it freely.
