I can view my Hikvison NVR cameras through the IVMS-4500 app via wifi but not via mobile network?

Another update on the issue I originally raised regarding UK mobile provider O2 seemingly blocking some traffic - Asking O2 to remove any filters actually did not fix the problem. I thought it did but on further testing in different locations we found the problem still existed. However, I...

How do I confirm exact model number?!

What is the cameras "Firmware Version Property"? See this post for info. I don't know if it's the same for these Pro PTZ cameras but for the cameras I have the firmware seems to be listed by "Platforms" so if Firmware Version Property says "B-R-G5-0" then I know I need G5 platform firmware and...

    Hikvision NVR VPN

For outbound traffic, as you say you may want to configure a firewall to block anything but the outbound traffic you need like emails or whatever other outbound features you may require. For inbound traffic - for remote access/viewing you can easily configure a direct IP connection to your NVR...

gDMSS not live streaming feeds (only channel zero)

It's got me beat - neither the gDMSS Plus app or Smart PSS on Windows allows me to view sub-streams. In the case of Smart PSS on Windows it gives choice of "Sub Stream1" or "Sub Stream2". Both result in a timeout. The main streams work fine on both apps. I tried changing all the following...

gDMSS not live streaming feeds (only channel zero)

I hadn't tried to change the stream settings as the app was set to stream and playback the sub-streams which I assumed were not going to be an issue for bandwidth. But after your suggestion I changed the app settings to stream the main streams and that works perfectly! Weird! I have no idea yet...

gDMSS not live streaming feeds (only channel zero)

Can anyone help me with a Dahua system? I am well versed in HikVision but not Dahua. I cannot seem to the Dahua app (gDMSS Plus from Android store) to stream live video feeds. I have followed the pinned topic here about it. The NVR is on a network with web access, I have enabled P2P and in the...

I can view my Hikvison NVR cameras through the IVMS-4500 app via wifi but not via mobile network?

I just tested the user on O2 in question and on a 4G connection I could connect and stream from all of our sites without problem as I would expect. Before I say it's 100% fixed I wanted the user to do further tests in different locations on various 3G/4G/5G connections BUT it looks like my...

Mouse receiver only works in front USB on NVR?

One is a Logitech M235, the other a Advent AMWLSM17, the issue is the monitors/mice are in an office and the NVRs are in a server room nearby by a block wall and wood door in between. If it were clear line of sight I think the range would not be an issue.

I can view my Hikvison NVR cameras through the IVMS-4500 app via wifi but not via mobile network?

In our case we work via a telecom company so I have asked them to ask O2 to remove any and all filters/blocks that may be on by default for the O2 SIM. For example, I know some networks apply some sort of adult-content filter to their SIMs by default and you have to ask for that to be removed...

Mouse receiver only works in front USB on NVR?

That's what we have - the issue is that the distance between the NVRs and the mice/monitors is too far to just have the dongle in the front of the NVRs so we have USB extension cables from the NVR to nearer the mice/monitors with the USB dongles in the end of the extension cables. So in effect...

Mouse receiver only works in front USB on NVR?

Thanks for the tip @Phil but unfortunately even starting up both these NVRs with the mouse receivers in the rear of the NVRs the mice do not work. Plugging into the front of the NVRs (without a power-down/re-start) and the mice work fine. Not a big deal, it's just I rack-mounted them and wanted...

I can view my Hikvison NVR cameras through the IVMS-4500 app via wifi but not via mobile network?

This sounds like it could be the same issue I raised here. I am now convinced the issue I raised is due to O2 here in the UK blocking some network traffic. I have not confirmed this but when I search online for "o2 CCTV block" or "o2 port block" and similar searches I find multiple reports from...

What device to connect NVR to WiFi network?

I have a NVR somewhere with no phone line/network. But it is within range of a WiFi network, so what is a good/cheap device to connect to the WiFi and then have RJ45 port on the device connecting with network cable to the NVR to give it network access? I looked at WiFi range extenders with an...

    Bullet vs Turret cameras?

I don't personally know any technical differences, turret cameras can sometimes be smaller, neater, certainly I would say they are easier to fit and align/adjust. They are more flush and unobtrusive. I guess it depends if you want them obvious as a deterrent or more subtle so as not to draw...

Accessing Camera via Browser when connected to a NVR

You have to remember that when you connect to http://IP_OF_NVR:65001 you are connecting to the WEB interface of the camera. When you try and connect the NVR to a camera it is communicating with the internal systems of the camera using a different port (probably port 8000) it is not connecting...

Mouse receiver only works in front USB on NVR?

I have 2 NVRs and when I plug a USB wireless mouse receiver into the rear USB port the mouse does not work. But it works fine when I plug the USB mouse receiver into the front of the NVR. Is there any reason that might be or anything to fix it? The models are DS-732NI-I4 and DS-7616NI-K2 It's...

Accessing Camera via Browser when connected to a NVR

If you enable "Virtual Host" on the NVR - probably under Network -> Advanced Settings - "Other" tab. Then you can access the cameras via ports 65001 and up, e.g. http://IP_OF_NVR:65001 for camera 1 http://IP_OF_NVR:65002 for camera 2 etc.

Hikvision - Recommended settings to manage performance and timeouts

I suggest you post details of the firmware versions you have on your NVR and cameras. Also let us know how you connect your iPhone app to your NVR - are you using direct IP method or Hik-Connect Service?

Hik-Connect Problem seeing my Hikvision cameras on phones

What exact make/model of phone are you using? I raised an issue recently here where we are having similar issues to you - but only on an iPhone 13 when working on mobile data. An older iPhone model was fine and my Android 12 phone works fine. So my suspicion of our problem is the phone or the...

    Hik-Connect Hik-Connect/iVMS apps won't stream to iPhone 13 on 3G/4G [Possibly O2 Blocking?]

A Hik-Connect user recently upgraded to an iPhone 13 (currently on firmware 15.1.1). Their previous iPhone had no problems with Hik-Connect app. When on WiFi - Hik-Connect streaming works fine. When on 3G or 4G - we just get the loading percentage of streams Hik-Connect views then an error to...
