Trouble adding WiFi cameras

Hi guys,

I Have recently bought a Hikvision DS-7616ni-i2/16p NVR and am fairly new to the CCTV arena.

I have a few Hikvision Cube cameras Ds-2cd2455fwd and have managed to connect to them via WiFi And then activated them via Sadp. I logged in to each camera successfully And can see footage from the live view.

I am struggling while in the NVR as I have gone into camera management and manually inputted each into the IP camera section with the corresponding IP addresses from the network but for some reason it shows them as “offline”. Are their any manuals online to show you how to set these up?

any help welcome.

When you manually added the cameras to the NVR, did you enter the correct password that you had set for each camera?

Try cycling the power to the NVR.

Yes, I clicked Modify on one of the existing cameras and then changed ‘plug and play’ to ‘manual’ and from there I used the local ip 192.168.0.112 and changed the username and password to the one I use to log into the camera directly. When I save and come out of that pop up screen it shows the camera as offline.

NVR power cycles to no avail.

any ideas?

Hi @Moreno5

Have you set the Gateway for the camera's in SADP as your router's IP address?

Make sure that the DHCP option is also left unticked in SADP if you are confident that the IP addresses assigned to each camera do not clash with anything else on your network. The second section of the below guides explain how to check the IPs:

How-to: How do I find my router and Mac's IP address using a Mac?
How-to: How do I find my router and PC's IP address using a Windows PC?

Also, have you connected the cameras to your network or NVR by ethernet at any point, or just used WiFi?

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for your reply.

The gateway within SADP is my router address and I have set it as a IP that won't clash. I have also gone into my router and reserved that IP for this device. I am able to login directly to this camera with this set IP. So all looks good here.

DHCP has been turned off in SADP and I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version for this camera.

Within the camera menu DHCP is ticked on both LAN & WLAN, is this ok? In WLAN I can see the reserved IP on IPv4 Address and default gateway set as the same as my router. Within network I have also enabled ONVIF & HIKVISION CGI in the Integration protocol section.
