M Series - New Firmware 5.03.000_240428 available

Well it's only 2 or 3 days since the last new firmware for the M series came out that fixed the control of camera features when using Hik-Connect. A newer version 5.03.000_240428 has just appeared on the UK firmware download page.

I'm late as always. I'm blaming the forum layout The top 50 or so threads are either new regarding firmware or very old so I tend to scroll down to the first 'new' post.

What I've found so far...
Control of the hybrid light config via Hik-Connect are still working (phew), but I don't have a Live Guard camera to test the strobe, siren and two-way audio from the app.
Outdoor stations still aren't properly compatible - it needs to be added as Hikvision_RTSP, meaning you can't use motion detection.

So much room for improvement - so little time!

We did make a tiny trial into how we might better manage new firmware versions, updates and feedback:
