Hikvision Ax Pro Fault Issues

My Ax Pro system was working fine. Then after a recent firmware update (to v1.3.0) I've been having issues.

The panel consistently comes up with perimeter and magnet detector breach faults when set or unset. The app shows no faults.

Perimeter breaches when alarm is set
  • PIRs x3
  • Magnet Detector x1
Perimeter breaches when alarm not set
  • Magnet Detector x1 (same one)
After contacting customet support I was asked to update the main panel to latest v1.3 build (250318), but I'm still having the same issues. What I have noticed.
  • When I set the alarm using the keypad it doesn't fully arm all zones. Some zones don't set, others set ok. The keypad is added as a device on all zones
  • The keypad used to set all zones with no issues before. When I unset the alarm on the keypad the panel reports the issues as above.
  • When I set using my mobile phone the alarm sets fully. I then don't get the faults when I unset by my phone again.
  • When the system is unset, at approx 7-8pm every night the panel shows up with an error which is magnetic detector perimeter breach
Is anyone having similar issues? Or any advice on what could be the issue or how to resolve.

Many thanks for any input

Hi,

I'm seeing similar behaviour in firmware 1.3.0 build 240407.

I'm getting perimeter breach for zone 1 and zone 2 on disarming.

I also have a warning light on the front panel but no faults on any device.

Did you have any luck in fixing it?

Thanks.

No luck in fixing it yet.

A few have been saying it's a firmware issue and hikvision won't take responsibility to sort it

I had an installer supply and configure my system. I suspect on this latest firmware I'll need to factory reset and configure from scratch.

I wouldn't mind attempting this myself if I had all the device QR codes to hand but I don't.

The installer will want paying to reconfigure and has introduced a minimum day rate.

So, it would be nice if Hik can fix it but it doesn't sound promising.

Do you think a factory reset will work? Its a lot of work especially when devices are mounted etc.

If a factory reset doesn't work, then I'd agree firmware is buggy.

I think there is a possibility legacy parameters / config options still sit in the configuration file from previous firmware version.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is an option for me to go down. I don't have any ladders long enough to reach the bell box!

Sick of my system not working properly I decided to downgrade firmware to 1.2.9. I made sure I had backups from when my system was installed and also from 1.3.0 firmware update. My backups failed to import.

I tried firmware 1.2.8, 1.2.7 and 1.2.6 and backup files fail with these too.

Have now added all my devices back in on firmware 1.2.9. Had an electrician here for something else, so he kindly added the bell box back in.

Lost all configuration, so will need to learn this part myself.

The control panel no longer shows a fault light but I now hate this system. Crap firmware and backup files that can't restore.

Did the downgrade not work then? It just removed the fault light?
Just finished up configuring and testing. It looks like it's all working fine and no fault light is on the control panel. I'll put it night arming tonight and see if it throws any errors in the morning.

Confirmation that firmware 1.2.9 build 240621 is golden. No fault light and no more random perimeter breach errors, panel going offline, power loss warnings.

Just to add don't download and install the firmware with UK in its file name. Its Ukrainian language! EN is the one.

So this one yea

I just selected the file and away it went installing without issue. I went as far back as 1.2.6 and up to 1.2.9. No additional steps to downgrading.

I was hoping with an earlier version I could use my old exported configuration file but it didn't work with any of the firmware versions.

The only thing retained was 2 keyfobs and the 2 zones I had before. All PIR, door contacts and sirens were lost. I had to scan them back in and assign to the zone.

ok got it to downgrade on the browser login. Now back to v1.2.9

All my devices reset so have had to add them back on. What a pain. It keeps the areas but deletes the devices ffs.

I need to get the ladder out to get to the bell. That's the last device to add
