DS-7608NI-I2 not displaying smart events

Since updating the nvr a month ago I get no smart events when trying to search via nvr searches. The 1 i aways use on smart is to draw a line and search it, or the grid and search that but nothing is there at all. ( there should always be as its a popular area for cars and people) normal smart will pick up me crossing the line intrusion but nothing else. Nothing I draw on screen will show any events. What's happened.

I also don't have DHCP enabled. But I don't think I ever had that ticked.

My question is why the smart playback searches don't work. I draw a line on the screen or a boxed grid to see what triggers and nothing. It use to pick up passing cats and people if the line i drew was where the detections were

Are yes. It was for the white light on the 8mp g5

I just guessing but you probably need to update to newer/newest G5 camera software but that might break the "white light" customized fix... I bet somebody else knows more...

What is have just spotted is my encryption key was different in my nvr local and my nvr via the Internet. I have just changed my Internet encryption code to match my local nvr.

First thing to check would be be that the ‘Save camera VCA data’ box is ticked. When the option was added in the firmware, Hikvision made the default to delete the data. I forget where it is, probably Recording > Advanced on the local menu (I’m not sure whether it’s available on the web UI)

Updating the G5 firmware will prevent searching of non human smart events giving results so don’t update those.

I'm not sure where your setup is going wrong. My previous NVR was the same model and firmware as you have and it all works. In many regards it works better that the M series as that seems to be a work in progress (with not much progress...). I'm unable to test or do a step by step guide as I'm now on V5 firmware - my DS-7616NI-I2/16P is boxed up as it's listed on eBay...

• Clicking 'Human' and/or 'Vehicle' box in playback would show markers for all of the motion and line crossing containing Human and/or Vehicle according to what was pre configured for that channel. It requires that those options were already selected during event setup.
• If Dual VCA is enabled on the camera, Save Camera VCA data is on the NVR I'd be able to do a search by drawing a line or grid and see ALL results (this is broken on the versions after 5.7.15 of the G5 firmware as has been reported by @alfaclvi)

I will check it all when I get in I never updated the g5 firmware as said earlier, it also looks like the g5 firmware upgrades caused loads of issues anyway.

my firmware is V4.61.030 build 240123.

Camera connected to the NVR is a DS-2CD2347G1-LU, firmware V5.6.6 build 210625, set for continuous record, dual VCA box ticked.

playing back at the NVR with smart selected and human / vehicle not selected, I have a continuous blue line with red intrusion events on it. These events are anything that moves in the box. Selecting human or vehicle / human & vehicle the red lines disappear, leaving the continuous blue line.
