    No video footage found?

Thanks @bline86 As I thought, it looks like you might have a faulty HDD. Does the storage menus give you an option to test the HDD?

    No video footage found?

Thanks @bline86 If you access the DVR with that direct monitor, can you please check the DVR logs in the maintenance menu for any error messages that might relate to storage/HDDs?

Hi @bline86 Can you access the DVR with a web browser or a direct HDMI monitor?

    Cloud Storage

Hi @patrickfrank In most cases, we don't usually recommend Cloud recording for CCTV because there are often limitations and it can be very expensive (see more info in this video). One of the Cloud recording brands we have pointed people to before is Videoloft, but using their calculator you...

Which NVR would you Recommend for a System of 4MP Hikvision Cameras?

Hi @butters If you are looking at a system of 3-4 x 4MP cameras, we would recommend the DS-7604NXI-K1/4P 4-ch AcuSense NVR. There are a small number of WiFi Hikvision cameras, but in most scenarios, we don't recommend them because they are not as stable/reliable as a hard-wired camera.

    NVR 24/7 recording missing spots?

Hi @Ekkoh What browser are you using to access the NVR/cameras? Have you tried doing the updates from a different browser? If a different browser doesn't work, can you try doing the updates via iVMS-4200 MAC V2.0.0.17 instead?

    NVR 24/7 recording missing spots?

Thanks @Ekkoh First of all, we would recommend updating all 4 cameras to the latest firmware version - V5.7.17_240606 - and see if that fixes these gaps.

    NVR 24/7 recording missing spots?

Hi @Ekkoh Are you seeing the gaps only on one camera or is it happening for all the cameras you have connected to the NVR? Can you please confirm the model numbers of the cameras you have connected to the NVR and the firmware versions they are currently running?

Total recording time is now reducing?

Thanks @TomThumb From our calculations, we would expect each 8MP camera to record around 3-5 days of continuous footage if all the cameras are on max. settings. If you were to reduce the frame rate to 15fps, the video quality to medium, and increase the compression CODEC to H.265+ on all 10...

Total recording time is now reducing?

Thanks @TomThumb How long has the system been running and have all 10 cameras been connected from day 1? If you did add the cameras at different times, can you explain when those cameras were added? Back in May/June, did you actually go into the NVR playback, scroll 50 days back, and view...

Total recording time is now reducing?

Hi @TomThumb When you say you "checked in June it was around the 51-52 days mark.", are you saying that the NVR had been recording for several months and had 51-52 days of footage stored or was this just an estimate of the total storage?

Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2-8P started to reboot every 15 to 30 minutes?

Hi @alfakappa That's strange, I'm still able to download from those previous links so I'm not sure why you are getting that error. You can try downloading the same firmware versions from this folder in the EU portal.

    RTMP Hikvision

Hi @wiebev As far as we are aware, the RTMP feature is only available on a select range of cameras using a custom firmware and I don't think this includes any PTZ models. If you search for "RTMP" on the forum you will see several discussions about issues and limitations of this feature on...

HiLook NVR compatibility with Hikvision 8MP camera?

Hi @PeteWisdom From our past experience, there have been issues connecting Hikvision cameras to HiLook NVRs but we haven't been hands-on with the latest HiLook models, so we couldn't say if this is still a problem. You would probably be best off asking the question to several HiLook sellers...

Need help choosing the right model for home

Hi @surajranjan4 Under IR light at night, both models will probably give you very similar images because they have almost the same size sensor but if your scene has lots of ambient light (e.g. street lights, security lights) and you want the smart light feature (switching from IR to Colour on...

Need help choosing the right model for home

Hi @surajranjan4 If you are looking for a Hybrid Light camera then we would recommend the DS-2CD2047G2H-LIU (we have no experience with the 1-series [DS-2CD1xxxG2] and also, several of the cameras you've selected are not actually Hybrid Light models). In regards to the NVR, we would recommend...

Does my system have room for another camera?

Hi @adamlavv The 2T87G2P camera does have 2 sensors but these are combined to create one panoramic image that is added as one channel to the NVR, so it should be fine to add. Still, you might have to reduce some of the stream settings of your cameras because 6 x 8MP (using around 15-20Mbps...

Problems with ds-2cd2385FWD-i camera firmware upgrade?

Thanks @paul73mt Are the cameras directly connected to the PoE ports on the NVR? What NVR model do you have and exactly which firmware version is it currently running? Have you tried using a different browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, etc...) when updating the firmware?

Door Entry Issue getting Live Image from 3rd Camera Connected to a DS-KH6320-WTE1 Indoor Station?

Hi @Gavins Are all 3 cameras running the same firmware version? What firmware version(s) are they running? What firmware version is the DS-KH6320-WTE1 currently running? Are you just seeing the error message with the 3rd camera? Can you still see the live images from the first 2 cameras?
