Hello I have a DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P with 7 cameras connected directly to it. Everything runs and does what I expect for around 2 weeks when I notice I can no longer log in with the Hikvision app - cameras offline message is displayed. If I log in from the local network I can see from the logs that the NVR effectively stops reporting events after a period. A simple remote reboot of the NVR brings everything back online and it will all work again for a while until things stop and the whole thing is repeated.

First question is what can I do to fix this. Do I need to replace the NVR for a more recent model? If this was the fix how easy would it be to transfer settings across from the old device?

Thank you

Ross

Hi @rosswill

Can you please confirm the firmware version that your NVR is currently using?

Hello it’s the latest firmware I’m away from the device currently but when I checked last night it was the most recent

Okay,

When you can, please confirm the version your NVR is running because sometimes people think they are running the latest when they actually aren't.

Can you please also confirm the camera models you have connected to the NVR and the firmware versions they are running?

Thank you I have updated firmware this evening and will see if this helps

So far it has yes, so I would definitely recommend upgrading the firmware as described above. Nothing has been changed hardware wise in any way with the cameras still on same cables etc.
