I have a ids-7716nxi-i4//16p/x NVR on the latest firmware and have had murder getting the facial detection to work.
I have enabled the engine for the cameras as engine 2.
Enabled facial detection
Populated the face bank with photos
But the nvr will not detect any faces at all.

have you got a link to v4.62.210 i can only find v4.62.205 on the hik portal for the (C) , its a bit of a con they are only making the (E) models compatible with v5

So , i spoke with Hik support again today and it sems to be limited to Iphones on the latest build of IOS17 as it doesnt effect android phones.
We do have a work around although it is a pain, you need to completely remove the app from your iphone and reinstall it, so far this seems to...

Yes we use mobile routers and have template images so they all match, I have also checked the server ports, camera ports etc… including 80 443 and 554 amongst the required ports to make sure they are accessible

Thanks for the reply, I am an installer with 30 plus years experience especially with hik kit so naturally have been through all of the above unfortunately with no avail.
The logs were the first thing I checked they just show “failed to connect” and the error code.

I have a DS-7608 NI K2 /8P its one of many many NVR's we have supplied over the years, it is on the latest build V4.74.200 build 230522 and has for as long as i have known this device on every firmware it has had gotten the error code offline:0xe002008.
Just to weed out the time...
Goto settings in edge and type internet explorer
Look for allow pages to load in internet explorer, click it and add the 192.168 local ip address and it will ask you to restart edge… do so
Now go back to settings and type internet explorer, scroll to show internet explorer button

Much appreciated, as I said , no settings were changed and it did work right up till I did the firmware update, the kits in an isolated site in Scotland where no one is there to change settings and the upgrade was done successfully via the webui, it’s bizarre how I can’t get it working again
Ok so our DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P has stopped sending clips to Hik-connect since upgrading to V4.72.107 build 220914 no settings have changed, notify surveillence center is ticked and the schedule is the same but it simply does not send out the small activation clips you see under the live view screen...
