5.7.15_240411 is what you want from that page. It's not the latest but is the last version which will allow you to do a VCA search/smart search for non Human/Vehicle events if you've used the Human/Vehicle filter in your event setup (plenty of information regarding this elsewhere on the forum but basically Smart Search is where you draw a line/box on the playback screen and search for what's crossed it/entered it). All versions after that will display no results if you do that search. If you never need to search video for something other than human it's a non issue and you can get the latest version (5.7.19_241207) directly from the Resources link on the page for your model on the Hikvision website. The portal is no longer the place to get the latest firmware and is really only useful if you need previous versions because you have a camera or NVR that is years out of date and needs to be updated in stages.

I only use the draw a line when checking if a car or person passes directly at the front of the house for middle of night suspects lol.
Where do you get up grades from now?

Hikvision.co.uk You can either find your model and at the bottom of the page you'll find a link to the latest firmware, or you can click on Support > Download > Firmware and theres a search box to key in your model number.

Link please to the smart search? Does this only work on the monitor, or will it work on web interface too? I can't seem to get it to work, but it's the first time I've tried using this feature.

For it to work you need 5.7.15, Dual VCA turned on for the camera and Save camera VCA data turned on in the NVR. Then using the smart search icon (light bulb) in the lower left of the monitor screen should allow you to disable Human/Vehicle filter and define a line crossing or motion search. Similarly you should be able to do it using the three dot menu and dual VCA search there. I'm not sure about using a browser as a rarely use one (CCTV is on my main TV)

Edit: Just had a quick look and it seems to work using Edge browser but not Safari on Mac (not supported message). There's a similar icon to the left of the Human/Vehicle filter.

I don't know if their Libraries are better and more accurate in v5.7.19 than that of v5.7.15, but in v5.7.15 many times a Human is not recognized as Human but as Other. This is when someone can miss a Human target. Bad lighting especially at night, reflections, strange clothing we have seen in the past or bad angle positioning of the camera.
