what the difference on these FW NEU/ STD ?

was looking at FW ver 5.5.53 today. there are 2 versions available to download from Hik site.
IPC_R6_EN_NEU_5.5.53_180730.zip
IPC_R6_EN_STD_5.5.53_180730.zip

whats the difference between these two?

HikVision V5.5.2 Firmware - NEU or STD?

HikVision have just released new V5.5.2 version firmware for their G1 Platform / EasyIP 3.0 range of cameras. When you select this firmware you are currently given a choice to select STD or NEU versions of the software. STD = Standard NEU = Neutral And, at the moment, I can't work out what...

As you will see from the above post it is not 100% clear what the difference is, from our experience the 'STD' Standard version is the version to use.

NEU was supposed to denote neutral - not Hikvision branded, but it does not seem to follow that rule always
