Upgrading Hikvision firmware

I recently came across some very helpful information on here regarding upgrading the Hikvision firmware using a USB stick which I think could be plugged directly into the NVR

I have been looking for nearly 30 minutes now and just cannot find it.

Has anyone else used this method and can point me towards the article please.

Thank you for that, I read through the 'nine steps' probably 9 times but didn't spot it! It's an age thing you know!


Am I correct in assuming it will be the same process for updating a camera/s connected directly to the NVR.
