Trouble connecting to NVR with browser

I can access the NVR directly, via his-connect, and iVMS-4200 but I can not get there via browser by typing in the local address. If I try the internet address his-connect shows that doesn't work either.

I am using a Mac, using safari.

Any ideas why or how to fix it?

In the end I'm trying to connect it to my Control4 setup.

What model of NVR do you have and what firmware is the NVR currently running? (you can see the firmware version on the configuration pages under the system settings menu when you log in with a browser)
