I'd like to swap a 6mm cam in my garage ("Garage Cam") for the 4mm cam in my backyard ("Backyard Cam"). I think the coverage will be better at each position after the swap. Couple of questions:
Is this a simple matter of powering down the system, swapping the cameras, and powering the system back up?
Or:
Will I need to do anything else, such as resetting the cameras prior to the swap and start fresh?
I also don't know if each camera's settings follow the camera, or do those settings remain in the NVR for the port at which they are attached? In other words, if my camera labeled (and set up as) "Garage Cam" is moved to the backyard position, will it be labeled "Garage Cam" with all the old settings? Or will it adopt the "Backyard Cam" label and all of its settings? Thanks.
Cameras are plugged into the back of the NVR, a 7608-I.
