Standalone PTZ

Hi.

I want to use a Hikvision IP PTZ camera as a standalone device with not NVR. I can connect this to the local LAN and access the built in web view, which is all that will be needed. I would like to add PTZ joystick control, and while I could run a serial cable to the camera location, I wondered if there was a network version that can control the PTZ of the camera without an NVR?

The site already has CCTV and an NVR, this is just a completely standalone live view only.

Yes, it is possible to connect a joystick to a single PTZ but you are limited to the models you can use, the ones that can do this are the DS-1200KI Network Keyboard or the DS-1600KI Network Keyboard which can be connected by RJ45 to your network and accessed with a browser for setup.
