Sharing existing network

Just a query as to thoughts on whether it would be prudent to utilise my existing network and add the IP cameras to that or whether it would be best to have a completely separate network?

For the purposes of this question I don't think PoE is that relevant as I have two PoE switches which I can position appropriately.

I don't think you need to consider a separate network unless you are having a great number of cameras (16+)
