Hi,

Trying to install a DS-7604NI-E1/4P and two cameras at my workshop but so far I have made a mess of things.

First off I haven't been able to figure out how to format the hard drive, it won't stop beeping, The software is different to most of the guides plus I don't really know what I am doing, I did turn it on before installing the hard drive when I first got it.

I think I have changed the pass word on the nvr ( I can still log on ok) when trying to figure out how to format the hard drive.

Any help would be great.

If you're viewing the NVR with a monitor + mouse connected locally via HDMI / USB, you can format a hard drive by navigating to:

Menu >> HDD >> General >> HDD Information >> Tick the tickbox of your HDD in the list >> Click the Init button

The status of your hard drive should change to Normal once formatting has completed.
