Push Notification for Newbie

I've tried searching but couldn't find any new(ish) valid threads that solve my issue (DVR and app type)

I have the DS-7208HQHI-K2 / 8A DVR.
firmware: V3.5.37 build 180801

I am using the "Hik-Connect" android mobile application, "Message Push Notification" under settings is enabled and even has the "intense" sound set

UPnP is enabled and everything is valid.


Email and audio alerts are working well.... But I really do need to get push notifications working.
I am able to live view the camera without issue.

If anyone can assist I would be so greatfull.... I feel like it might be some small obscure setting somewhere.

think you need to check the " Linkage " option in the camera settings for each event. then tick the " notification centre " option.
