NVR turns itself off and on

Hi all, I am seeking some help please. I have a hikvision system and whenever the NVR is connected to my network the NVR continually turns off and then back on - once it reboots it turns off and then on again.
rinse repeat

I have no idea what would be causing this.
I have tried different cables, plugging the nvr into my switch, plugging it direct to the router to no avail.

Hi,
You don't mention what model NVR.
I would check the firmware version and try to get it to the latest version.
You may be able to do so via a direct connected monitor and the firmware on a USB stick i.e. without a network connection.

NB I have heard of this boot-loop symptom, but never experienced it. I wonder if it occurs with products intended for the Chinese market (not Western region).
If you purchased it via ebay/Amazon or some other non-authorised seller you might want to speak to them about the problem and follow their recommendations.

Hi,
I'm afraid it's not an NVR model that was ever sold in the UK / Europe.
It's not a model I'm aware of.
Not mentioned at their European download portal:

If you disconnect the NVR from the LAN/internet I've read reports of that helping to stop a boot-loop whilst you try to resolve the issue.
