New Hikvision 180 Panoramic Color Vu - 4K?

Hi,

Just a question are they 4k sensors *each* and stitched together? or is it 4k spread over 180 degrees like some of the '12'mp fisheye lenses?

Recently seen a video on it and they look quite impressive!

Good question it's certainly not made as clear as it could be!

I've double-checked with Hikvision, and the two sensors on the DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL and DS-2CD2T87G2P-LSU/SL are each 4MP with a 4mm focal length.
The images are then stitched together to create an image that has a resolution of 5120 x 1440.

I would have hoped they were 4K each, but can understand why they're not (maybe bandwidth limitations or something).

If they were 4K each sensor it would have made me regret my current set up... maybe in a few years.
