Motion Detection, do I set via camera or NVR interface.

From what I can gather I set storage in NVR (to say when I want to record) but the NVR seems to have reduced functionality of motion (i.e. no-expert). Can I set storage/motion in NVR and set the expert parameters in the camera?

The motion settings you set in the NVR will apply to how the NVR records (if you have it set to record by motion) and the motion settings in-camera only apply to the sending of event notifications (e.g. email, push, full-screen monitoring, etc...) and/or local storage if you have an SD card fitted in the camera.
