Local LAN IP address when connected to NVR?

Hello

Is it possible to set cameras to have a local IP address when connected to the NVRs POE ports please? I am guessing not and I will need to keep using my Netgear switch plugged into the NVR?

Correct, when cameras are directly connected to the NVRs PoE ports they have to use the NVRs Subnet IP range (192.168.254.xxx) but you can access directly connected cameras individually using Hikvision's Virtual Host feature.

yeah figured as much thanks.. this is useless to me as I am stream them to my home automation system..
