I just installed 16 Hikvision IP cameras in my home.

Camera Model: DS-2CD132P-I
NVR Model - DS-7P16NI-K2

The camera are powered using a proper 802.3af PoE switch. Cable runs from the switch to Camera ranges from a few feet to 100 feet.
During the day I get amazing clarity on the cameras. But during the night the cameras start out clear and fine initially, but in about 20-30 mins a few cameras start developing vertical lines. Please find pics below.

This is the image when the night vision starts. Its clear and absolutely fine.

After a few minutes, this starts happening:
This is the non-HD version:

This is the HD version of the same:

Can someone please tell me what's happening and how to solve it?

Numerous possibilities come to mind. Firmware not being up to date is always a good bet. If you want something to try immediately, change the Video Standard from the camera's webGUI.

Hi StewartM,

Thanks for your reply. So this setting will be available when I access the camera via its IP address?

Also where can I download the latest firmware? I can't seem to find it.

Can you please re-check the model numbers that you provided in Post 1?

My first guess would be a cable issue.
Test a problem camera with a short/bought patch lead.
