I want to make sure that I keep my firmware up-to-date on my Hikvision setup. However I do get a little confused by the terminology used.

Hopefully my question won't seem too stupid!

For instance I see that there has been a firmware update issued just this week for 'I series' units. What I don't know is, which is the letter that is used from the product identification number to show which 'series' it belongs to?

My setup consists of just one NVR and one camera (at the moment) My NVR is a DS-7604NI-K1/4P(B) and the camera is a DS-2CD2155FWD-I

Can someone tell me which 'series' these items are classed as please.

Many thanks in advance of any help that may be offered.

Hi,

The 7604NI-K1/4P(B) is a K-series NVR and you can find the latest firmware for that model here

The 2155 is an EasyIP 3.0 camera and falls under the G1 firmware family (any model with a product code 2xx5 or 2xx3 is G1 model), you can find the latest G1 firmware here

When you click the camera firmware link you will see 2 versions of the same firmware, we recommend using the Standard (STD) version
