I am using an I series NVR to try to make 'clips' of videos taken. When I play these clips back in VLC player, I find that the section of video clipped from the NVR is rarely the section I thought - usually the clip starts later then I thought and I have to re do it starting much earlier and let a lot of video capture to ensure it won't start after the pice I need.
Anyone else found this? It might also be a problem with VLC player - which seems buggy at best, and if you move the start point back after watching a piece it often won't move back.
It's a pain that the NVR exports in a format that more standard mp4 players liek the Windows one can't play and need conversion via VLC first. Hopefully Hikvision will look at this.
If anyone can suggest a better player/conversion tool than VLC I'd be interested.
