hikvision nvr with non hikvision ip cameras

hi all

trying to get my head round this one

one camera is hik g1 series so its range is 192.169.254.** and goes straight into dvr

the other 10 cameras are avis and are going through a poe switch and are set as static ip

range is 192.168.0.51 onwards

when the switch broke i removed it and connected cameras straight to relevant ports on dvr

but now i get no picture at on these avis cameras

any ideas

Hi,
In Camera Management in your NVR you'll need to select each camera and check your settings.
If they were on a separate POE switch they will have been set to 'Manual' and their LAN IP addresses will have been entered.
You should be able to set them to 'Plug-and-Play'.
Select ONVIF.
Enter your user name and password for those cameras.

think the only thing i did wrong was not input the password

got no where today

put all cameras into nvr and tried above

just searches and does nothing else

noticed that i have channel port ?

should this be changed to represent each input

as an example if have a picture here of camera no D6

and channel port is 1

should i change that to 6

managed to get it up running again but its connected as below

all camera direct to nvr

Just picking up on your last line:

one of the port 16 of nvr to switch and switch to router

It should be your HikVision NVR's LAN port that connects to your LAN, switch, router (not one of the camera ports).

If you're still having problems perhaps post a screen grab of camera management from your NVR.

sorry may have confused my self

yes the nvr lan port is connected to switch for using the hikvision app

but i also need one from the switch to one of the camera ports to get cameras to work

picture showing all the cameras that's without the cat5 from camera input to switch

confirmed yesterday if i take out the cat5 from camera input 16 to switch i loose all cameras bar the hikvision

so it appears i need to make sure each camera is in the correct relevant input

so cam input 7 needs to be ip 192.168.0.57
input 8 needs to be ip 192.168.0.58

easier said than done when i don't know which camera has been set to

but least I'm getting somewhere
