Hikvision IP Camera Can't view from the Laptop

Hello, everyone,

Good morning,

I have a small problem. I need your support to solve my problem please. I have a Hikvision NVR (DS-7616NI-I2). When I try to access the camera from outside I can access it via mobile app but I can't access it from my laptop. After I installed iVMS-4200 application on my laptop I got error code (Device connection to camera is disabled or not connected error code ivms-4200 video c exe 1602).

If you look under the "Maintenance and Management" tab you will see that you added the NVR using "IP/Domain" connection type so you will only be able to access the NVR/cameras when you are on your local network with the NVR. If you have a VPN server running on your router then you would be able to access the NVR/cameras remotely.

Otherwise, you must use the Hik-Connect P2P server (the same as you are doing on your mobile app) ... to do so click here:

The username and password are your Hik-Connect username and password (not the NVR username/password). Since you are logged into Hik-Connect this way, you will also get alerts... some here don't like using P2P services for security reasons... the VPN route is more secure.
