Hikvision IP cam low resolution

Hi all, I have a Hikvision DS-7716 NI 14/16P NVR and half a dozen of DS-2CD2755FWD-IZS (5MP) cameras hooked up to it and I am getting a very poor image resolution from them. Worse than I get from a 2MP HiLook camera hooked up to the same NVR viewed through the same monitor. Config issue? Any suggestions?

Step 1 - bring the NVR and cameras up to the latest available firmware release.
Then, factory reset and re-add one of your cameras and check the results.

I getting this error sometimes, when i did not patch right the cat cables ^^ (Sometimes you dont have enough space to work xD)

Yes, I have come across this before; poor home-made network cables performing badly.
To test, bring your camera close to the NVR and test with a short bought patch lead.
