There is very little difference between the 2 portals, Hikvision are not great at managing their portals and so in some cases, a newer firmware can be found on the EU Portal and for other devices, the newer firmware will be available on the UK Portal. As long as firmware file name has "EN" in it for English Language you can use that firmware on a UK product, just be wary that some files on the portal are "ML" files which are Multi-Lingual and designed for all European languages.

Just to clarify, another member of my team has pointed out that the Multi-Language firmware does now include English so there is no issue with using those firmwares. (currently very few of the latest firmwares are even available in the "ML" version)

The key thing is to check the folder for your device in both portals to make sure you definitely have the most recent firmware installed.
