Hik-Connect Hikvision -> DVR connection via Hik-Connect servers?

Hey all

I have the DS-7204HUHI-K1 DVR and I use Hikconnect app on my Android phone to remotely view the 4 CCTV's we have attached to it via the internet.

What I want to know is, when I view the live stream on the android app, does it upload that video stream to the Hikconnect servers and then the servers broadcast to me/and any other devices viewing the stream on their smartphone device OR do I connect to the DVR directly and does that creates a P2P connection to stream to me directly?
