Hikvision DS 7204HW1 (faulty)

Hello all

Not sure if this is the right section for this question.

Has any one experienced problems with this dvr unit?

As in the unit powers up, shows network status when ethernet cable plugged in, but no display on monitor to view cameras?

The units out of warranty (4 years old)

Any ideas what it could be, any possible fixes to try ?

Have you tried installing Hikvision's SADP utility onto a PC or Mac on your network and scanning to see if it can find your DVR?
That should reveal whether it is 'alive' and on the network.
If so, it will show the DVR's IP address.
You should than be able to enter that IP address into the address bar of your browser - Internet Explorer is still THE most dependable browser to use for this at this time.
