Hikvision DS-2CD2385FWD-I 8MP Turret Network Camera

I have been waiting for 5mp turrets and then 8mp turn up instead. I was just starting to think I would go with 4mp.

Are there any comparison videos etc to compare these to the 4mp? What happened to 5mp? I have read somewhere that as mp goes up night performance drops off. Is this true?

The new for 2017 HikVision EasyIP 3.0 range will include 3, 5 and 8MP cameras.

For the turret model, we only have the 3 and 8MP variants available so far (limited stocks and some focal lengths only).

In approximately two weeks time the big sea shipments of more UK stock will arrive, and then we'll expend the offer to show all that we then have available.

We haven't managed to grab any example videos yet, but will do soon.

HikVision's specs do show the 3MP model to have slightly better low-light performance.
