Good Day

I am looking for some advise please.

I am experiencing an issue with some of our Hikvision LPR camera's where at a certain time of day ( 9am - 11am in the morning) the glare off the road is playing Havoc with the cameras ability to do OCR. Other times of day its is fine and the read and accuracy rate is high. But during the morning the read rate is quite low.

What can I do to rectify this?

See attached image for example

Hello

There are 2 models

DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZS
iDS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHSY

Both with latest firmware

And if its not glare then its rain

Really need assistance in how to set these cameras up to work in these weather conditions

When there is no glare or rain then they work quite well actually

Thanks

Thanks @ShortCircuit

We would recommend adjusting the rain/sun shade on these ANPR bullet cameras to be as far forward as possible to give more shade to the camera lens.

If that is still not enough, then you will probably need to look at creating larger custom shade/protection to go above the cameras.

Hello

Already thought of that. Unfortunately the rain shields that come with this model have no track to adjust the cover further forward

They are simply attached by a single screw and offer a default minimal cover

Strangely enough other Hikvision models we have have shields where there is a tract on which the screw can run adjust how much cover the shield provides but not these models

We tried to swop the covers but its not exactly a snug fit
