Hikvision Camera Alarm Input - To allow triggering on IVMS-4200

Hello,

This post is in connection with getting event notifications on IVMS-4200 through camera a alarm input.

In summary, I have a camera (DS-2CD2T46G2-ISU/SL (Firmware 5.7 17) ) connected to an NVR (DS-7616NI-K2) (Firmware 4.71 005)

I have an infa-red beam wired into the camera on normally closed which is scheduled being enabled 24/7 on the camera directly via the alarm input.

On the NVR I have selected normally closed but I am thinking this is for the alarm input on the NVR itself, not the alarm input of the camera.

When I go to IVMS-4200, Maintenance and Management, under Event Config, Video Event, Alarm Input and click search. I don't find anything.

Does anyone know if alarm inputs via a camera to an NVR to IVMS-4200 works or if one needs to use Hik Central Pro instead?

NVR should pick up alarm inputs and outputs of cameras added to them. Only reason why it should'nt work could be due to firmware incompatibility.

You can always add camera directly to IVMS and search for camera events

It should all work with ivms 4200

Ok thanks trempa92, I also spoke to Hikvision and they confirmed the same thing.

I did add the camera directly to IVMS-4200 and I have now got it working! Someone give Trempa92 some points.
