Hi.

I have the Hikvision AX Pro alarm system and looking a bit of advice on best setup in one zone.

In the zone (back door) I have a door magnet, keypad and wireless PIR camera. All devices in the zone are currently on a delay exit and entry.

The area is a small porch, outside door and another door that opens into a larger area. The outisde door is main entry/exit for us and would like to

Exit
  • retain the delay so you can get out and lock up ok. 30 secs at the minute
Entry
  • Make the PIR Camera instant to send a photo about who walked in, but stay silent and no noise or alarm to go off
  • The door magnet and keypad remain in delay so you can disarm on tye keypad before the main alarm goes off. Ideally on silent so we know to disarm but intruder doesnt get any idea that something triggered.
  • The intruder would then enter the next zone which is on instant and so sound the alarm.

We can unlock the alarm outside the property if needed on the app, but if we could still unlock via the keypad before the main alarm goes off that would be great.

Is this possible to do?

Everything is pretty much straight forward except this point:

  • Make the PIR Camera instant to send a photo about who walked in, but stay silent and no noise or alarm to go off
As i recall it can be Photo on demand and Alarm triggered snapshots. I haven't seen anywhere an option to get image without Alarm state.

I mean you can make Pircam to other partition which will have instant silent alarm. But you will need to clear alarm or disarm to work again.

All i know it could be done using HPNetSDK from hikvision, but this would require a programing skills. And its not out of the box solution.

If anyone else had a workaround please share here. Maybe i remember something on the go as well and feedback here afterwards.

Thanks for the update.

I've tried running the PIR Camera on delay, with a 1 sec entry delay and silent alarm (see setup below).

It's logging the photo which is great. But still also looks a fault that you need to clear (prob similar issues if camera was set as instant).

As you initially disarm, it's easy to forget having to disarm twice to remove the fault. You then remember when you try and set it ain the alarm code.
