Hi,

Iv took delivery today of 2x EXIR Turret cameras. However they are both not allowing me to up the resolution (Please see image).

Has this been experienced before and can advise of a solution?

Thanks

Rob

Just to add, I have 2x other 5mp EXIR Turret which I have not had this issue with.

Looks more like the sub stream resolution.
On IVMS 4500, I dont have the option for the sub stream, like I do on the other cameras.

Also logging in to the NVR I can only opt for Main Stream.

Heres a list of various things iv tried:
- Only this camera on the nvr
- Reducing the resolution/frame rate etc on the others
- Resetting this camera

and still dont have the options.

Im not the most CCTV system savvy so any help is muchly appreciated.

Just seems strange as my other simply plugged in and worked.

Hi,
My first thought would be network/cabling issues.
Is this camera connected via a home-made cable?
If so, try it with a short factory-made patch lead and see if it improves.

As always, also check that all your HikVision devices are running the latest firmware.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

- I have tried 3x different cables all purchased at the length including a short one.

I looked at some other posts regarding the firmware, my new cameras are at the latest firmware, the NVR is a DS-7604NI-E1/4P with V3.3.4 Build 150616.

I tried the links also to download the latest but the links wouldn't work. Im just unsure why my other 2x cameras would work perfect and these two will not.

thanks

Rob

Hmm, that rules out cables as the cause.

Are all your cameras plugged directly into the NVR?
POE powered by the NVR?

The latest firmware for your NVR is here:
DOWNLOAD PORTAL

The EN for English version is the one you need.

I doubt that this is firmware related, but best to bring it all up to the latest version before trying to diagnose any issues.

What firmware version are your cameras running please?

Yes all except one are directly plugged in to the NVR however the one that isn't is one of the ones that is working perfect. It runs through an injector and home adaptors before getting to the NVR.

The new cameras are running V5.5.3. As for the slightly older cameras, im not quite sure what they are running, however are around 3 months older (if that helps at all).

Thanks

Rob

The latest firmware (V5.5.51) for that camera model is here:

Do you have a monitor connected to your NVR?
Does that model NVR show on-screen the bandwidth used and remaining available?
Do you observe anything odd happening as you connect/disconnect cameras?

Thank you for your response. I will check this out tomorrow and hopefully find it to be a solution.
