HIKVISION 2cd2185fwd-i(s) and NVR ds-7716ni-i4/16p audio question

Hi
I have this NVR ds-7716ni... and for the moment 4 x 2155fwd-i cameras. But as always.. more wants more.. I'm looking at a couple of 2185fwd-is extra cams.
Question is. Is the audio available to the NVR by the J45 cable, or will I have to run extra cables to the cameras. (dont see any extra connection on NVR for audio from cams?)

Hi Jan,
The audio travels from the cameras to the NVR via the network cables, no additional cable connection is required.
Please note that although the HikVision 2185-IS dome is audio capable it does not have a microphone built-in, you would need to connect an external microphone. This of course does involve additional cabling; the audio connections for the microphone to the camera, plus perhaps a separate power supply for the microphone.

HikVision don't currently offer many cameras with built-in microphones (2542-IS - previous series flat-dome at 4MP).

Most of Milesight's dome cameras do have built-in microphones, but currently Milesight do not offer an 8MP dome.
