hikconnect portal remote access

hi. had some hip vision cameras installed today with a dvr.
I can log into the iOS app fine using a mobile phone number and a password. Within the app, i can see that there is also a username associated with the account.
at hik-connect.com i can log in with the username (found within the iOS app) and the same password as the iOS app.
I get a screen showing me my cameras are online.
I click on the IP address, and a new window launches which looks like the same logon window at hit-connect.com. The issue is this page will not accept the log on details i initially used at hik-connect.com !
ive tried using the phone number i used to log into the iOS app, and also the username i can use to log in at hit-connect.com, but i can't get past this screen!
its driving me mad.
any suggestions?

The credentials used to access locally (at the IP address on your network) are different to those you use at HikConnect.com and via the App.

The user name very likely remains at the default setting of admin
If you don't know the password, then check with your installer.
If they don't know it, they will have to help you to reset it.
