Hik-Connect Hikconnect ping notifications stopped working after App update?

Why after update did my customer lose the ping on Motion alerts to her phone , is it Arm , Disarm ? Why all the new fankled updates ?

Perhaps an update reset Applications notification settings?

Check within android settings for that app, allow notifications

Logging out, fully closing the app and logging back in again usually resolves this. I wouldn’t consider the updates to be new fangled; it’s good that the apps are continually developed to correct issues and add functionality.
