Hikconnect mobile app - remote playback fails

Hi,
I have my camera recording 24/7 on my NVR and remote playback works fine if I go via a browser.
If I try to playback previous footage from my mobile phone though the app seems to think there isn't any footage recorded for most hours and so rarely works. I've attached a photo below, showing the rare occassion it allows me to playback some footage for a small period of time. The NVR is successfully recording 24/7 so I don't understand why the app doesnt show this. Any ideas?

Sorry, not really. So many things it can be.
Is it always like this i.e. do you see the same when you're using wi-fi on the same router / Local Area Network as you do when roaming / using data?
Is everything updated to the latest version?
Camera firmware
NVR firmware
App version
