Hik vision dvr problem

Please Please could someone tell me if my new DVR put in a few days ago. Is it possible to speed the playback button up when looking through any activation as it is greyed out on my tv screen. Also is there a way of seeing if there has been any activation through the day while I have been away instead of looking through a whole days video. The model number is S-7204HUHI-K1. HARDWARE VERSION OX3500. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Events are triggered by the cameras. Provided your cameras/DVR are setup correctly the events will be visible on the timeline. You could then playback only the events on the DVR's Smart event playback.
I'm not familiar with your model of DVR but you should be able to speed-play at least 64x. What model cameras do you have? Please post a screen capture of TV's interface where the playback button is greyed out.

The image looks like it's from a mobile device. What software are you using to view the camera?

.hi the latest software on my phone if that is what you mean is N950FXXS7DSHC/N950FOXM7DSG1/N9FOFXXS7DSHA. I ALSO HAVE THIS NUMBER IF IT HELPS. IT SAYS DEVICE VERSION V4.20.000 BUILD181129. VERY SORRY I CANNOT HELP YOU FURTHER.

The button for fast forward on the cctv monitor is still greyed out I cannot get it to move up to 6x speed whilst it is recording 24/7
