Just trying to move over my cameras and ran into a problem. When i am logged into Hik-Connect and try to add a device by serial number i enter the serial number from my NVR and get a red x message saying added.

I have tried enabling and disabling Platform access but have no idea what has happened
 
Hi,
Can you check that message again please, is it actually 'already added' or similar?

Sometimes people lose their account / login details and end-up trying to add the same device / serial number to two accounts - which the system won't allow.

Presumably you don't then see a page like the below?
i.e. your camera successfully added

This is the screen you see / feedback you get if the serial number is not found:

There's a separate 9-digit serial number used for Hik-Connect which you can find on the HikVision product or box label
 
You'll find the serial number for Hik-Connect on the product / box label as below:

Phil, that barcode above the serial number is giving away the serial number.
